Golf Event Aids Mitey Riders

More than 120 golfers attended the 17th annual Mitey Golf Challenge on June 5 at The Golf Club at Ballantyne. The event featured a golf tournament, dinner and silent auction. Twenty Mitey Riders attended to greet players, bring refreshments and tell their stories about riding at Misty Meadows.

Misty Meadows Mitey Riders is a nonprofit that offers therapeutic-riding and equine-assisted activities to children with special needs.

Proceeds from the event, the organization’s only fundraiser, account for approximately one-third of Mitey Riders’ annual budget and help the organization honor its commitment to serve participants free of charge.
