More than 13,000 workers call the Ballantyne campus home, and many are taking advantage of fun new offerings meant to promote a sense of community and give people a break from their typical workday.

Ballantyne’s customer events feature everything from rotating farmers markets and food trucks to pet picnics, puppy yoga and wellness days. Northwood Office is focused on ensuring there’s something for everyone with unique programming that changes weekly.

Carolina Kramer is the customer engagement manager for Northwood and says, “The goal is to have people come out and enjoy an experience during their lunch break. We’re also doing events where, if you can’t be out for an entire hour, you can grab what we’re doing and take it home and do it at your leisure.”

Free workshops are offered at lunchtime, often at Brixham Park.

Tammy Dorcas, the director of facilities at Premier Inc., says Premier’s staff members have taken part in a host of different activities.

“Our folks take advantage of the food truck options; participate in the free workshops offered at lunchtime, such as bullet journaling, the wellness activities, such as yoga, give-back opportunities, such as packing meals around Thanksgiving [and] toy drives; and enjoy the Christmas lights and other fun things in Ballantyne’s Backyard, and the eclipse party.”

Kramer adds, “These events are also great for networking. During the eclipse event, we had 200 people come out, and you could hear one company talking to another, creating community within our customers.”

While some programming is designed exclusively for the workers at the 250 companies that call the Ballantyne campus home, plenty of additional events are open to the public. In April, thousands turned out for the MS Walk, and even bigger crowds are expected to enjoy the summer and fall concert series at The Amp Ballantyne™. There’s also a big back-to-school event in the works that will be open for all to attend.
