Backyard Hosts Disc Golf

The 2024 First Run Open, held for the second year on a temporary course in Ballantyne’s Backyard, July 13-14, was a B-tier PDGA-sanctioned singles tournament part of the 2024 NC Point Series presented by Innova.
Amateurs received a players’ pack and trophies. The pro division awarded $750 cash prizes and trophies to top finishers.
This year’s tournament accommodated more players by having two pools that played one round each day, alternating between a.m. and p.m. shotgun starts.
